Big Rains. Big Falls.
Saturday day and over night brought a lot of rain to the region. The Skykomish River that I cross during the week to go to work, was at flood stages. Sand bars and beach areas you could normally see, were fully under muddy, fast moving water.
Up at the falls, the spray from the crashing water could be seen from the overflow parking lot. Many locals and tourists donning rain jackets in order to catch a glimpse of the raging falls and not get too wet. If you wait long enough, the breeze would alter the course of the spray, offering a great view.
