Was a fair bit overcast by the time I reached this spot, and lots of clouds over Mt. Si proved for a very hazy photo and bland colors on the trees. I walked back to my truck, put my gear in the back and moved some things around preparing for the next stop. When I turned around to get in my seat, the sun had popped out brilliantly, lighting up the trees and the mountain, with some nice shadowing to boot. Washington weather. Just wait five minutes... or less.
I love Fall. The colors that nature brings out on display are amazing, especially in the Pacific NW. Today was my first outing of the season, and while not everything has changed color, there were still some great spots, like this.
Mt. Rainier is pretty amazing, even at a range of more than 60 miles (from where I was in line of sight). It feels like it is right there with you, every where you go up here in the PacNW.
